Dear harry,

The NT backup utility will not work with a library except to run the tape drive. You would have to load tapes using the front panel which defeats the object of buying a library. You need a backup application such as HP Omniback II, CA ARCServe, or Veritas Netbackup. Trial copies can be downloaded from the web. The library controller should be 'daisy chained' with the drive maodule and appears as a separate backup device.

Hi
My manager has ordered in a surestore 220 tape library but he wants me to get it up and running with NTBackup. Has anyone tried this and has anyone been successful?
