I have a problem with DLT 718 running - When Win2000 starts I get the message "Can't configure changer 0 Tape...." It is already installed but doesn't want to work. What's the problem is?

This message is displayed by the Removeable Storage Manager (RSM).

If you or your backup software is using RSM, you must configured it properly. If not, you must turn it off in the services menu of the computer mgmt console.

For help on configuring it, open the mgmt console (My computer icon, manage menu item), then go to the Removeable Storage section. If you click on the help icon you should get online help - look under the 'Removeable Storage / Manage Libraries' section.

You will not be able to manage robot using w2k OS built-in capabilities. You need backup application to be installed which has all needed drivers (Omniback, Tapeware, Backupexec etc)
