Firmware update failed on a HP Surestore Autoloader 1/8 VS80

While performing a Firmware update on a C9264-VS80 it failed halfway. Now the HP L&TT see onl the drive and no longer sees the Autoloader itself, if I click on the drive it sees the Firmware button is greyed out.

When I reboot, during POST, I equally only see the drive and no longer the Autoloader.

Is there a way to re-firmware this unit, I cannot believe it is scrap???

We are having a similar problem where we try to update the firmware, we get a failed notification about halfway. However, our drives do show up in BIOS and it shows the new firmware revision.

It is safe to say that this error can be ignored? Anyone else having this problem?
