topic NT SCSI PORT Error in Automated Backup

I'm using a new HP SDLT 600 (the 3U rackmount one) with an HP/Compaq Proliant ML 530 G2. I'm not sure what other info is relevant. I have the latest drivers for the Adaptec 2940UW that the tape device is hooked to. I have downloaded any firmware for anything I can get my hands on. I have Arcserve 9.0 with every patch those guys make (which is a lot). The backup ran fine for the first few weeks. After that, I started to get NT SCSI PORT Error in Arcserve. I've scoured the internet and found 739 different possible solutions. None of which worked. I'm at a total loss. I've disabled the device in device manager (as per one reccomendation) and the # of NT SCSI errors has reduced. But I'm still getting them. It seems as if it's backing up the data, so it's not a total loss. But the errors frighten me. Anyone know any thing I might try?
Thanks,
I don't think the SDLT600 is supported on the 2940UW.

You can look at the supported adapters by looking up the server and drive combination(and then clicking on the cell for details) in the following matrix:
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/compatibility/tapebackup/ISS/index.html

There is no 530G2 listed, but there is a 580G2. It lists support as:

Embedded SCSI channel (if available)
268351-B21 - Dual-Channel Ultra320 SCSI HBA
374654-B21 - Single-Channel Ultra320 SCSI HBA G2
284688-B21 - Dual-Channel Ultra3 SCSI HBA *
154457-B21 - Legacy Single-Channel Ultra3 SCSI HBA *

The errors you report sound like connectivity issues. I'd check cables (must be multi-mode), cable length, supported terminators, etc.

Is there more detail in the system event log on errors from the HBA?
