SureStore 2/20 tape library system name

Hi,

local library is a two drive Ultrium-1 equipped model. I'd like to ask for an advice on how to change the system name "galactica" the system presents over the read only SNMP access and AFAIK shows also on the front LED display. We were unable to find a sysname string config option within the menu. Is it somewhere within the locked service menu ?

The name "Galactica" is actually the product family name for the 2/20, 4/40, 6/60, etc, SureStore tape libraries. It's very likely that this is hard coded in the product firmware and not changable.

Martin, we did check the firmare and the name is readonly. Also, the community string is hard coded to public.

David, thanks for your help.
I kind of suspected the system name galactica to be read only since we couldn't find it within the most likely "General Info" web management menu section.
And indeed, SNMP access is read only with community hard coded to public - I feel I've read the notice while browsing through the support forums.
