Hi, I can access my default domain by IP number ot by http://www.domain.com but not by http://domain.com.. I have just the opposite problem with hosted domains.. ie.. I can access them by http://domain.com But Not http://www.domain.com - However, I can access the Domain Administrator's Interface using either http://www.domain.com:5555 or http://domain.com:5555

Also if I change the index.html file to index.htm (using WSFTP)on any of the domains I receive:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Apache/1.3.12 Server at domain.com Port 80

I don't know what is going on.. I don't know but I suspect some type of DNS problem (not running the DNS on the SA1100)..Any help would be appreciated..
It sounds like you have the site set up wrong. You need to have the site set up as say www.domain.com and an alias of domain.com. You can do it the other way.

If you want to be able to use a different default page, you will have to edit the httpd.conf. You would add the htm just after the html for default pages. You could also add php or pl if you are doing dynamic pages. *** Be aware that some appliances rewrite the httpd.conf when changes are made via the GUI.*** I do know if the HP appliance does as I have not manually modified the httpd.conf file.

Well, just wanted to let everyone know that I have my SA1100 up and runnung, hosting sites and using mail - FTP - Telnet - the whole nine yards.. Have not tried DNS yet as my co-lo has no problem serving as DNS.. So bottom line is this thing does work.. Don't know about the security issues but, suppose that unless HP issues a software update we will have to live with it.. But for the price, what can you expect??
Joe:

Saw you got your site up with multiple domains - Congrats! Just bought one of these boxes (SA1120) and can get to the "Welcome to your domain web page" screen for my main (test) domain at www.europroducts.us. (Thanks to some of your posted questions and replies.) However, still have no clue how to set up a virtual domain (using the SAME IP address). Appreciate any response here or direct to me at emile@europroducts.net.

Thanks, Emile
