    <description>I had this same problem a while ago, unfortunately it was a bad memory chip.  Try swapping out the memory.  If the unit is still under warranty then you should call HP support and have them replace the unit.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>To access the emergency partition, do the following:&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
1. Shut down the server appliance and connect a computer to it through the serial port located on the back of the box. &lt;BR /&gt;
2. Turn on the server appliance. &lt;BR /&gt;
3. When the prompt reads "LILO boot," type "emergency" to load the emergency partition. &lt;BR /&gt;
4. Log in as the root user or a server admin user.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
here you can run chkfsk on each partitions</description>
