When I boot this server I get the following error

0080-51 : Netserver Management ControllersFailure

0090-64 : DIMM management failure

I tried to update the bios but it fails. Heard a patch exists for this but cannot find it.

Hi Glenn,

This is a known condition and often can be resolved by doing a manual MMC flash. Read this post for details:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=977832

If that doesn't work, the I/O Riser board is bad and needs to be replaced.

If you need any help with it, HP still extends free phone support for this model of Netserver and they can walk you through the process. Their number is 1-800-474-6836. When it asks for the model number, just say "Netserver"

Hope this helps,

Sean T. Craig Sr. C.E.T., M.C.P.
