Salvadorgil:

SCSI
ATA
or SCSI RAID
or ATA raid (mega raid controller)
????

it depeneds is this the scsi or the ATA model.

if it is the scsi you have to make sure that the new drive has a different scsi id from the other drive. example scsi id 0 , or scis id 1,2,3 etc.

- how many drives and is it hardware or software raid.

- if it is on scsi (there is no raid at hardware level)

- if it is on ATA mega raid controller; then after replacing the drive then just let it boot to windows and it will start to rebuild if you have the spy utilities installed ; if you don't then you will have to go to the megaraid controller bios and add this drive to the spare pool.

- now it is is on an SCSI hardware raid controller - then just plug the drive and at post will give you F1 - message to start the rebuild or F2 to continue without the rebuild.

Regards,

Tarek.
