You can configure the iLO 2 from within Windows:

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/24575.html

I'm configuring a new DL380-G5, using the https://server:2301 and clicking on left Management Processor can I assign the ilo2 card a ip address? Or is first time setup forcing me to re-boot and hit F8 and give it a ip address?

Using Windows Server 2000SP4 and latest HP Management Drivers from SmartStart.
