Here is the setup first of all..<BR /> <BR /> DL580 G3 server<BR /> 2 x SmartArray 6404 w/512MB BBWC upgrade (plugged into Slot 3 and Slot 5)<BR /> 4 x MSA30 dual bus (2 boxes per controller)<BR /> Windows Server 2003 SP1<BR /> <BR /> I am running lastest server firmware and drivers. I keep getting the following and there seems to be no pattern to it...<BR /> <BR /> ERROR: The device, \Device\Scsi\cpqcissm2, did not respond within the timeout period.<BR /> <BR /> WARNING: SCSI bus fault occurred on Storage Box box 0, , Port 1 of <BR /> Array Controller in slot 5. <BR /> This may result in a "downshift" in transfer rate for one or more hard drives on the bus.<BR /> <BR /> WARNING: SCSI bus fault occurred on Storage Box box 0, , Port 0 of <BR /> Array Controller in slot 5. <BR /> This may result in a "downshift" in transfer rate for one or more hard drives on the bus.<BR /> <BR /> WARNING: SCSI bus fault occurred on Storage Box box 0, , Port 0 of <BR /> Array Controller in slot 3. <BR /> This may result in a "downshift" in transfer rate for one or more hard drives on the bus.<BR /> <BR /> The errors seem to switch between the controller boards and ports.
