Hi Beppe,

Are you saying that no floppy controller appears in device manager? If this is the case, have you tried adding the drive with the "Add New Hardware" wizard?

I installed Windows 2000 Server on my E45 and was not able to access the floppy drive. It is bootable and accessable via DOS, but apparently that floppy drive is not supported in Windows 2000.
I have also installed windows 2000 as of this morning and had the very same issues with the floppy drive. When I booted back to DOS I was ok. I also went to the HP website and found the most current version of the BIOS and that won't even load. I need this thing up and running ASAP.

And you would think me being internal I would have somewhere to go...

Guess not.

Thanks
I have the same issue. 2000 server will not detect or allow you to manually install a floppy controller or drive. Has anyone figured out a solution to this problem. Makes it difficult to add diskette based license packs.

Still looking to access the floppy drive from Windows 2000 Server on the E45.
Has anyone found a solution?
I'm currently using a parallel ZIP drive to load software.
