Has anyone upgraded a Netserver E50 from NT4.0 to Windows 2000? I have a new client who has one of these servers and I would like to upgrade it if possible. Could not find any info about drivers etc on the HP site.

The netraid 1 and the netraid 3 channel are not supported in W2k. This is the only thing that I see that could be a problem. As far as drivers go, I would recommend just using the default drivers that W2k provides.

The following document includes tips and trick on installing W2K on a netserver:

http://h200004.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpn13532/lpn13532.pdf

Good luck!
I have done a fresh install of W2K on my E50, with no problems / driver issues. I even added an IDE drive for data storage. Only problem there was that it saw my 60GB Western Digital as ~30GB. Not worth fixing, as I'm not sure the IDE controller will ever see more than that. Good luck.
