I have a ML310 g5p server with 4 250gb drives in a raid 5 array. The array size is 700GB. When installing Windows 2008 with smart start 8.25, the maximum partition size is 700GB. The problem is that I have 2008 R2 which requires smart start 8.30. Smart Start 8.30 only lets me have a 500gb maximum usable partition. I have updated all of the firmwares. Can anybody tell me why I lose 200gb with 8.30??
