Hello,

We have a ProLiant ML350 G4p with an SmartArray 642 Controller. At the Moment, the original 6 Bay Drive Cage is connected to the 642 Controller with a RAID5 Configuration. We want to install the additional 2Bay Drive Cage. The Question is, if we can connect the 2Bay Cage also on the Controller to build a RAID5 with 8 HDD´s.

regards, Thomas

Hello,

the SA 642 has only 1 internal connector, you need the SA 6402 or 6404.
See this http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/arraycontrollers/index.html
