Depending on your O/S, you need to run the Array Configuiration Utility (ACU) or the Drive Array Advanced Diagnostics utility (DAAD). These tools will give you the configuration of the drives in the arrays.
Click here to download the software: http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html

We have seven 9.1GB HDD in our Proliant server and can see 20GB on one partitioned drive, 2GB on a second and 7Gb on a third.

Users only have access to the 20GB shared area and I wish to purchase new HDD's to increase the amount of space.

Unfortunately I have no idea what RAID configuration we are using as there is no available documentation available.

Does anyone have any idea of how it could be configured and the best way to upgrade the drives?

I had hoped that it was RAID 5 and that I could therefore hot swap one drive at a time and thus have an easy route to a larger data area.

Any help would be much appreciated.
