Sorry -- that didn't show me what I needed. Luckily I opened a case with HP. Apparently I needed to put the drive in the exact same spot that the failed one was previously in and then the auto-rebuild started and properly brought the RAID back to a functional level.

Thanks!

We have a Microserver and are using the HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 RAID with a mirrored set. One of the drives is showing failed and I'm trying to figure out how to replace the failed drive and nothing is looking obvious? On other servers, we'd mark the drive as offline, remove it and replace it and it would rebuild. I just removed it from this server since I didn't see a way to take if offline. Once I pop in the new disk, it just shows it as available?

Can anyone shed some light? This is frustrating since it's not obvious!! Thanks a ton!!

I know this is an old thread, but do you need to power down the OS or is the drive hotswappable?
