How to get raw reading from gen8 iLO temperature sensors?

Following up on https://community.hpe.com/t5/proliant-servers-netservers/microserver-gen8-ilo-constantly-shows-cpu-temperature-40-c/m-p/6928065/highlight/false I started to investigate the origin of this mismaatch.

I am wondering if the iLO is translating a raw reading of the temperature into a human readable Celsius value by applying some conversion. If so, where is that documented?

I can imagine for instance the raw readin to be a hex or bit-wise values that is converted in software to float. Or maybe it's another low level reading of a thermistor that needs to be converted into float. If this raw reading is made by the CPU, then I might have a hint of why there is this mismatch: I am using a CPU that was not among the type of CPUs shipped with this server originally (I am using Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1280 V2 @ 3.60GHz ), so it might be that the reading in raw format is correct, just the translation is incorrect because it does not take into account that my Xeon processor needs a differnt mapping form raw to celsius.

So my questions are:

Where the mapping from raw reading to celsius in iLO is documented?

How can I get the raw reding of CPU temperature that iLO uses to translate into Celsius?
