Is there no way to install a uniprocessor kernel ???

This is coming from a Windows 2000 background where you simply downgrade the HAL - Hardware Extraction layer.
Netserver LPr has dual PII 450Mhz. Due to application does not support dual CPU, need to disable one of two CPU. Application is a IVR and runs on UnixWare 7.1.1. BIOS doesn't show an option. How and where can this be done?

<<THIS is="" coming="" from="" a="" windows="" 2000="" background="https://community.hpe.com/" where="" you="" simply="" downgrade="" the="" hal="" -="" hardware="" extraction="" layer.="">>

Hans : you don't even have to touch your HAL. With NT/Win2K, you have just to append "/onecpu" at this end of the line in "boot.ini"
The fastest way to troubleshot a problem.

Back to UnixWare : I believe that you can simply remove the "osmp" package ("multiprocessor support") using "pkgadd".
You *may* have to reinstall all the patches (not sure)
