It does have a terminator in the second CPU slot. I managed to reset the system so I could access the ECU, but I cannot see anything amiss. It does tell me there is a config (.cfg) file missing though. Is there any way to generate this file or retrieve it from the internet?

LH II POST Error

I managed to uplug the external CMOS battery the power cord was unplugged from the server. Now, I can only boot with one cpu in place. Also, during POST I get a couple of error messages followed by a lockup. The error messages are: 'EISA Configuration NVRAM Bad - Run Configuration Utility' and after the memory scan 'System CMOS checksum bad - Run Configuration Utility'. After the second message the system reports 'Dual-ready system initalized for single processor' and then hangs. I have tried to research how to reset the NVRAM to factory defaults so I can at least reach a bootable floppy, but I have not found any information that is helpful. Has anyone any ideas?

Thanks,
Does the second processor slot have a terminator in place?. Do you have a navigator cd for this machine so that you can update the bios and run eisa config utility?

hi,

what you need to do is run ECU (Eisa Config Utility), you can found it in your partition utility is insatlled, on a floppy if you have the original one or on the web.
When you start form this floppy, go in "wiew edit detail", check if everithing is ok, eventualy change the bad config, then "exit and save".
