Not too hopeful on getting a reply on this but here goes. The above is nearing the end of its useful days except that, perchance, we have the possibility of securing two matched PIII 1Ghz processors (1 x 800 at present). Intel of course made a number of 1Ghz processors in the FCPGA package, and I am wondering if anyone knows if two SL4MF processors (1.7v) will run on this board. I suspect the board will detect the voltage but would like to confirm that before giving it a go. The 800 processor is a SL3Y2 (1.65v). Failing this does anybody perhaps know the specifics of the config switch (ie one of the switches may hard set the CPU voltage).

Hi,

this is the list of supported cpu's for this server:

1 GHz P2597A
Pentium III / 256kb FCA Cache

733 MHz P1769A
Pentium III / 256kb Cache

800 MHz P1770A
Pentium III / 256kb Cache

866 MHz P2464A
Pentium III / 256kb Cache

933 MHz P2585A
Pentium III / 256kb S1 Cache

as you can see 1GHz is supported as long as the socket is the same.

For the config switches - there's nothing to configure except for passport/cmos reset. BIOS will autodetect CPU speed.

Regards, Igor

Many thanks Igor, appreciate the feedback. The processors will be resident in their new beds by this evening.

Regards
Kevin
