topic Array configuration question in ProLiant Servers - Netservers

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if my theory was at all valid. I am considering using five HDD's in a DL380, using RAID1+0 + Hotswap.

If I was to have disks 0 and 2 form a mirror, then 1 and 3 form a mirror, then stripe those mirrors, would the duplex configuration of the SCSI cabling protect me against issues involving either one SCSI cable or one SCSI channel? Given that they would take offline one full mirror of the stripe?

Disk four being hotswap of course, we would have to ensure we "failed back" any disks that needed replacement to keep taking advantage of this.
