cannot find article from link in old post.

Hi ... please can someone help me find this post...

it has some very interesting information in it that i require, and when you click on the link, it takes you to the "new community page" not the post in the forum.

A link to this particular ITRC post appears in several forum posts in the Community. Which board were you reading when you found this link? It may be possible for us to find the original ITRC post if we have enough information, and redirect the links that currently do not work.

We recognize that we have lost some important linkages, and are doing all we can to recover them.

You are out of luck, this info has been removed from the google cache. So unless HP kept a mapping from the old threadId to the new URL, it can't be found.

You'll need to do a forum or google search to find your answers.

That only worked if you could find some in the cache.

This implies there is no provision for keeping the threadId mapping around?. :-(

I don't think there is any way mere mortals can do that now that the google cache has completely expired.

Only ignoring that threadId (except for knowing there is a good answer) and searching again.

Warren,

Please pass on to your superiors that this move was the most counter-product and ill-serving move I have ever seen a corporation do. All of HP's documentation is now outdated. None of the links work that are referenced in different manuals and other documentation. This change has made a highly stressful work environment even worse for your customers. It takes considerably longer to resolve issues and research problems than it used to before this change.

This was not well thought out and if I were in a position to where I was directing where the dollars were spent on equipment, I would think twice about buying HP.

The bottom line in this case is that HP did its customers a great disservice! I am sure you and your colleagues are loving this and much as we do in the field.

Are you talking about the docs.hp.com changes that were done last year? Or the URLs to other threads in the EBC forum? (Or both? ;-)
