Problem Description:

I am encountering multiple issues while trying to list topics on my Kafka broker in a MapR environment. The issues seem to be related to authentication and configuration.

Error Messages:

Kafka TimeoutException: Could not fetch Partition Information: org.apache.kafka.common.errors.TimeoutException: Topic mytopic not present in metadata after 5000 ms.
No Default Stream Name: Error while executing topic command: No default stream name specified in the configuration options.
Kerberos Authentication Failure: org.apache.hadoop.security.KerberosAuthException: failure to login: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: Unable to obtain MapR credentials.
MapR Credentials: com.mapr.login.MapRLoginException: Unable to authenticate as ticket is not available.

Environment:

Kafka Brokers: 10.34.2.135:9092
Topic Name: mytopic
Data Fabric Version: 7.4.0
Kafka Version: kafka-2.6.1

Steps Taken:

Checked Kerberos configuration and initialization.
Verified MapR tickets and credentials.
Checked environment variables related to MapR and Kerberos.
Reviewed user permissions.
Checked MapR cluster configuration via MapR Control System (MCS).

Questions:

How can I resolve the Kafka TimeoutException for fetching partition information?
What could be causing the Kerberos and MapR authentication failures?
Are there any additional configurations or environment variables that I need to check?
