Hello SeamlessComp ,

How does SimpliVity compare - does it matter if it isn't FUA compliant?

Response: This is not an issue for SimpliVity.

Do the supercapacitors on the Omnistack Accelerator Card increase risk of data loss in the real world, or is this a non-issue?

Response: It doesn’t increase the risk of data loss, actually allows to have enough power on the card that allows us to save the data that is flying in RAM into the NVRAM (flash) in the OmniStack Accelerator Card during a power failure. This is a non-issue for HPE SimpliVity.

HPE SimpliVity has over 10000 appliances shipped and the accelerator card is not a limitation.

Please reach out to your local sales or pre-sales specialist if you need additional information.

Vinay

One selling point for Nutanix is that they comply with FUA by not acknowledging write IO until it has been written to disk. Simplivity acknowledges the write IO before being written to disk, so in the event of a power loss it relies on the supercapacitors to retain the data until power is restored.

How does Simplivity compare - does it matter if it isn't FUA compliant?

Do the supercapacitors on the Omnistack Accelerator Card increase risk of data loss in the real world, or is this a non-issue?
