I want to know what edge computing is and what problems it can solve which traditional computing cannot solve.

According to Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), edge computing is the next major wave in IT infrastructure evolution. HPE defines edge computing as processing data where it is generated at the edge of the network without relying on remote cloud decisions.
Edge computing moves compute, storage and analytics close to where data is created (the “edge”) rather than sending all raw data to centralized datacenters or public cloud. That proximity enables low latency, reduced bandwidth, continued operation with intermittent connectivity, improved data locality/privacy and more resilient operations.

2. Works in Harsh or Remote Locations
