topic Firmware upgrade in Software - General

Good morning, I recently acquired a Proliant ML350 G6 server. Currently I am only using to run PFsense for my home network. This is my first true server so, be gentle. Server runs great with no POST issues. Right now my current issue is, how do I update all the firmware and bios? I noticed on HPE's support site, that most of these updates must be installed in a Windows Server OS or a Linux OS, but PFsense does not fall into either of these categories.

My other issue is, logging into ILO2, I can access the page throught the local port, but I get an error message about err_ssl_bad_record_mac_alert, which ends up being no support for TLS1, even trying IE at TLS1.0, I still get the error message. Attempted to update ILO2 to current version with SUM, but this software proves frustrating to use.

If I install Win 10 on a different drive and boot into that, then can I download all these firmware/bios updates and install them? BIOS date still shows Nov 2011.

Thank you.

I got it fixed.

I installed Win Server 2016 and was able to install the latest ILO2 firmware and latest BIOS. and then reinstalled PFsense. Now ILO2 works on the latest Chrome.
