Content Packs and Project

Hi,

I am quite new to 0010, though I have worked a bit on 009.

I have few content packs developed previously by other people in our GIT repository. Along with content packs, there is a zip file of the project.

I am tasked with modifying a flow to be ultimately deployed to production.

I imported the project to my development environment.

Do I need to import each content pack into my development environment before making changes to my imported project?

Will the changes in the previously created content packs be lost, if I just modify the flow and then create a new content pack for deployment on production?
