topic VME Manager UI access problem in HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software

Hello everyone,

I am currently implementing a VME PoC for a customer. The VME Manager was deployed successfully, however, when I try to access the web interface, it does not load.

When accessing the Manager via its IP address, Morpheus shows that the services are starting and running correctly. I have already reviewed the DNS configuration, and everything appears to be correct.

What I noticed is that when I access the Manager using its IP address, the URL is automatically redirected to the DNS hostname. I can also confirm that the Morpheus services and related components are running properly.

Despite this, the web UI never finishes loading.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can suggest what could be checked or configured to resolve this problem?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi @Fabian_Marin11

In my opinion, this issue has occurred because the VME Manager redirects access from the IP address to its configured hostname. If the hostname is not properly resolving in DNS or does not match the SSL certificate, the web UI may continue loading and never fully open even though the services are running.
Ensure that the hostname is correctly configured in DNS and reachable from the client system, and try accessing the interface directly using the FQDN instead of the IP address.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Sanika.

If you feel this was helpful, please click the KUDOS thumb below.

There's also an additional detail. Are you using a .local domain? in this case, I've found that you need to add the searchdomains to the netplan config in the manager appliance VM

Hello Diego,
I am using a .co domain that is being resolved by VME Manager and HVM. I believe the issue was related to the DNS records. The problem was resolved by reinstalling VME Manager using the IP address instead of the DNS name.
