Good day!

I have issue with migrating VMs from VMware 6.7 to VME 8.1.2

When run migration plan for test VM (ubuntu24 x64) it fails at stage "Prepare Source Workload". Logs in console show message "[appJobNormal-9] WARN c.m.m.MigrationPlanService - Failed to prepare server VMNAME for migration. Unsupported platform: null". But in VME manager this VM adequately synced VM type and Guest OS as Ubuntu 24.04 64-bit. Precheck virtio drivers is present (CONFIG_VIRTIO_BLK=y CONFIG_VIRTIO_NET=y CONFIG_VIRTIO_PCI=y) and qemu-guest-agent installed.

I would recommend unchecking the checkboxes in the migration wizard so the Manager doesn't try to validate it. It should work with out any issues.

Hi!

Thank you for reply!

However, i think issue was with old vmware6.7.

I tried to migrate similar machine from vmware8 and it transferred smoothly. When both precheck were skipped on vmware67, migration was successful too in logs, but vm disk was created empty, data isn't copied from source.

So it looks like there might be a minimum supported version of vmware for morpheus migrations.
