Multiple HVM clusters

I am thinking of creating multiple HVM clusters.

I am wondering whether I should create multiple HVM clusters in a single cloud, or create separate clouds and HVM clusters.

What criteria should I use to decide whether to use a single cloud or separate clouds?

In VM Essentials, a Cloud represents a grouping of HVM clusters (referred to as a “Private Cloud”) or an integration with a VMware vCenter appliance.

It all depends on your use case. A "Cloud" has a lot of options that will be the default for all Clusters in that cloud. E.g.: default domain, timezone, proxy to use to reach the VME Manager.

You can also set specific permissions on clouds (and clusters).

So if all those settings are the same for your HVM clusters, I would stick to one Cloud. (my pesonal opinion)
