Failed to apply plugin 'org.gradle.java'

Hello i’m following the guide on Getting Started with Custom Reports:
https://docs.morpheusdata.com/en/latest/getting_started/guides/custom_reports.html

At the build stage I get the following error:
Build file ‘build.gradle’ line: 6

What went wrong:
A problem occurred evaluating root project ‘cypher_item’.

Failed to apply plugin ‘org.gradle.java’.
No such property: RUNTIME_CONFIGURATION_NAME for class: org.gradle.api.plugins.JavaPlugin

Line 6 of build.gradle:
.
apply plugin: ‘java’
.

Any guidance on this issue would be appreciated

i am getting the same error as @duwarren getting when i am following the documentation, is/was there any solution for that error?

Did you clone the morpheus-plugin-core repo or are you trying to setup your own? I was just able to compile the latest morpheus-pugin-core without a problem.
