App bluprint and instance layout's workflows together

Hello,
I would like to create a blueprint app that deploys an instance where the instance layout itself includes a workflow. However, it seems that the workflow of the blueprint app replaces that of the layout, whereas when I deploy an instance directly, for example through a catalog, the catalog’s workflow complements that of the instance layout. I don’t quite understand how it works.

Can you provide some more details on what you have configured.
I might be misunderstanding, but it sounds like you have a single instance, that contains a couple of layouts, one of which is a workflow type layout. And when you configure this in a Blueprint and select the workflow layout, and then provision an app from the Blueprint it reverts to the other layout? Have I got that right?
