使用 BACKUP command 直接解開 save set 到 NFS mounted volume 出現以下錯誤，想請教是否 BACKUP 不支援直接解開到 NFS volume?

錯誤訊息如下:

%BACKUP-E-OPENOUT, error opening DNFS3:4426.g;1 as output

-RMS-E-CRE, ACP file create failed

-SYSTEM-F-PROTOCOL, network protocol error

%BACKUP-W-NOFILES, no file select from DKA100:4426.BCK;1

Could it be the 2GB limitation?

OpenVMS NFS client is only a NFS V2 implementation, the largest file size is 2GB!

對了忘了說明我的NFS Server 是Tru64,NFS version是多少我就不知道了

這樣還會有2G的限制嗎?

我是可以將檔案複製過去NFS Mount point

但是不能將backup set file解開,會出現上述的錯誤訊息

The 2G limitation is on VMS NFS Client, 和 NFS server version 無關.

saveset file? how big?

You can create another small saveset file (containing some small vms files) on vms and test it to see if it still fail! Sometimes a savset file with size smaller than 2G will create file larger than 2G when unpack!

can you show me the "tcpip> mount" command you used? or do a "tcpip> sh mount/fu"
