my task manager will not open how do i fix it?

every time i press alt+ctrl+delete nothing pops up when the windows task manager should how do i fix that??

can you get task manager to run w/out ctrl+alt+delete? How about trying "ctrl+alt+esc"?

If that doesn't do it... click start, run and type "C:\windows\system32\taskmgr.exe" then ok. If the file is missing, then that's a problem. :)

You should also scan your pc for spyware or a virus. There's also the possibility that it's a problem with your keyboard (bad key) or windows registry.

How about trying a different keyboard.
That might be the answer, faulty hardware...

I tried all of the above and nothing has worked. When I press Alt+ctrl+delete it says "another program is using this file". It even say that when I type in "C:\windows\system32\taskmgr.exe" in the Run section. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
