Well I would try it and worst case: It doesn't work.

Then I would give HP tech support a call and hope you get someone who can help you.

Using 2008 AutoUnattend.xml with smart start?

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to install Server 2008 with a smart start USB key to some G6 servers and am wondering if I can use my AutoUnattend.xml file by just dropping it into the root of the USB key as well?

There seems to be plenty of documentation for using an unattend file for Server 2000/2003 with smart start, but I'm having trouble finding anything for Server 2008.

Thank you in advance.

What makes you think the unattended process is any different between 2k3 and 2k8??

did you try the proposed 12k3 setup for unattended?

No, I have not yet but thought I'd ask since the OS has been out for over a year and documentation from the smart start side seemed a little lagging behind. :)
