Ml 350 G6 Sql too slow

I've instaled a G6 Ml 350 whith Windows Small Busibess Server 2008 and Sql 2008 server for sbs. For some reason de aplication that creates databases in Sql is to slow. To creat a simple Database it takes about 7 minutes. I've made de same instalation on a Hp Ml350 G5 and the same process is done in 50 second's. How can'i resolve this problem?

Hi there,

Have you got somethign runnign in the background, such as anti virus, or is the server being used lots by users, making it slower?

Do you have/use a Battery Backed Write cache on your Array Controller?
Please check that write caching is enabled on your array!

Check, what raid you are using for database. Speed of disk performance is very sensitive to raid level.
