Hi!

We have newly purchased HP DL180G6 with 6GB RAM. I need install Windows 2008 x64 STD, but I can't - Easy Set-Up wizard says "Your hardware RAM size is 6144MB and is more than the maximum 4096MB allowed."
So, I get another Easy SetUP cd from ftp.hp.com, but it give same error.
That's wrong? We cant buy this server with less than 6GB RAM, and we won't istall another versions of Windows Server.

Ofcause I can install server from Windows CD, but I don't like this way...

I am having the exact same problem. Quite frustrating since Windows Server 2008 Standard can handle up to 32GB of memory. Has anyone found a solution?

About the RAM error:
Just ignore it and go on, i had the same issue with SBS. I just said OK to the extra memory.

About the answer file:
When the problem occurs, just execute d:\WS2008_setup.exe using command prompt.
By using this method you can take advantage of drivers that were copied during Easy Setup CD process.
