While trying to install MS Server 2008 , the install halts stating that "windows failed to start". Status: 0xc0000225 info: An unexpected error has occurred.

help!

Oooops sorry... The computer is an HP Proliant ML350 G4 2 gig mem scsi raid 5 641 controller...

hi,

this error code is mostly for :

disk resize

did you tried to shrink some volume on the machine ??? or your disk are wiped ??

Do you get this problem only when installing MS Server 2008 ?
Does your windows server 2008 system get this problem when it boots ?

Yes the disk has been wiped. I get the message when trying to install MS Server 2008. What do I need to do to fix or prepare the drive for an OS install?

I hope you did not lose any data.
Also i think you are referring to non OS drive here.

Its always good to find out the root cause (and solution) for the problem,
so that you are well prepared when the problem occurs again.
But if time is a constraint then, you can plan to re-install the OS all over again.
