As testing we tried to install windows 2008 on rx8620 with hpvm 4.1. Installation is succesful. But we are unable to setup active directory ( DCpromo is not running )

C:\Windows\adprep>adprep.exe /forestprep
Adprep cannot run on this platform because it is not an Active Directory Domain
Controller.
[Status/Consequence]
Adprep stopped without making any changes.
[User Action]
Run Adprep on a Active Directory Domain Controller.

C:\Windows\adprep>dcpromo
'dcpromo' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Have you tried to do setup AD via "Add\Remove Server Roles"?

in add / remove roles it shows only two. 1) ISS 3) application server. No other option available :(

Whops... Active Directory role is not supported on Itanium architecture. See this url for more info: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772344%28WS.10%29.aspx
