Thanks for your advice. Iâ m sorry that I did not mention the name of the image CD that I burned and on which the computer would not boot. It was a Ophcrack live CD (ISO). After I tried everything that did not work, I just went ahead reinstalled the OS. Now I just have to install other programs, setup an internet connection so that I can go to the internet, get updates, and get the PC up and running.

Hey guys,

Iâ m having trouble turning on this computer due to unknown administrator password. It looks like this is not only the issue of the computer. I burned an image CD that I try on another xp computer; it booted on the cd (without pressing any function key) and cracked the password easily. However, this machine wonâ t boot on that CD, at all. I tested the machine on a Kaspersky disk CD, it runs and scanned the computer without any problem.
Due to the fact that I canâ t pass the logging windows screen, I canâ t get to control panel either. I am however; able to access the system information window which I attached (I believe that it may help)

So, as a last result I turn to you guys to tell me what you think should work. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your advice. The thing is that, i'm not sure wether or not something else is wrong with the computer because i can boot it on other CDs and that same Opcrack CD boots on other computers.

I don't want to go buy another program that is not going to boot on the computer again. So what do you guys think? Remember you can always look at teh system info (attached) for usefull help.

Thanks.

If you don't want to change the password:

1 > Get a program called Ophcrack(very large. 496Mb)
2 >> Download the liveCD (ISO)
3 >> Burn the ISO to a CD using an ISO burner
4 >> The Live CD's come with the free rainbow tables, so you might need to download other tables (cost money)
4 >> Bootup from the CD
5 >> Crack the SAM and System file

Another easier way is to remove windows password.
Try Windows password Recovery Tool ( http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com ), you can login back in 5 minutes with it!
