Can't install Win2008 R2 on DL145 G3 server

I have been trying to install Server 08 on this server but it doesn't see the drive. Windows server 2003 64bit is currently installed on the machine.

I tried using the smartstart CD but I got a message stating that "startsmart cannot be used to update this machine".

When I use the Server 08 cd to install, it prompts me to install the correct driver for the hard disk. I have tried many drivers but have been unsuccessful.

Can Windows Server 2008 R2 be installed on the DL145 server? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I have downloaded many drivers from this site. None of them seem to allow Windows Server 08 to recognize the disks. Should I be downloading drivers for the storage controller or something else?

I had to install the 2003 64bit driver.

I ended up downloading the drivers for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for 64-bit Extended Systems / Storage Controller / Broadcom HT1000 Serial ATA Controller driver for Windows.

I was then able to see the drive and install windows.
