Hey,

I'm trying to install Windows Server 2012 Datacenter on a Bl460c Gen 8.

I'm in the Intelligent Provisioning, but I'm surprised to see that it's prompting me to enter a product key.

We're using a KMS server internally to activate our servers and I do not want to type a product key for each install. When setting up Windows Server 2008 R2, I'm not prompted for a key.

Our KMS server is set up to activate Windows Server 2012.

Do you know why this product key is required to install Windows Server 2012 via Intelligent Provisioning ?

Thanks in advance and have a nice day.

You're probably installing a Retail or MSDN version of the OS. Once you enter the key and install successfully, you will be able to push out a KMS key from VAMT 3.0 on the KMS server. Don't you have an Enterprise Agreement (EA) for Microsoft licensing?
