Smart Array P400 in Hyper-V Server 2012

Hi all

I run a custom server at home on Hyper-V Server 2012. The general specs are:

AMD Phenom II x6 1055T CPU
16GB DDR3 RAM
Smart Array P400 RAID controller with 512MB cache & battery
2 x 2TB and 2 x 1TB SATA hard drives (WD Green)

Please take note that this is not the full Server 2012, nor the core installation - it's the hypervisor-only version.

My problem is that I can't get the Array Configuration Utility installed. I've downloaded the installation file, transferred it to the server and launched it from the command line. The installation wizard starts, I follow the prompts and it says it has successfully installed, but beyond that nothing works. I can't find the installed application in the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folders. Well, the folders are there and there are files in them, but the SETUP.EXE file I am supposed to run in order to enable remote management via a browser is simply not there.

Has anyone used the same RAID card in Hyper-V Server 2012 and successfully managed it?

check in the folder:

C:\Program Files\Compaq\Cpqacuxe\Bin
