Windows Server 2008r2 64bit failing to install on HP DL380 g10 Server

Good day Team

we have receently puchased HP DL 380g10 Server and need to install Windows Server 2008r2 64bit. apparently we failing to install O/S. installation process goes all faces, once the server rebooted it shows blue screen.

DL 380 Gen 10 model is certified to run Windows Server 2012 R2 and above.

You can review the windows OS support matrix for all HPE models here

Along with it you might be already aware that Windows server 2008 R2 has reached its end of life and is out of support . You will not recieve any security updates for 2008 R2 to protect it against todays security threats. We strongly suggest you to consider installing OS which is currenlty in mainstream support.

Dear Pasha,

Windows Server 2008 R2 is not support on HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server.

The issue you are facing is may be due to drivers issue which are not available for Windows Server 2008 R2. Hence please check by installing the supported OS.

Please refer HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server quickspec (page number 16) to check the support operating system list.
