Does somebody know why or what i can do when the computer won't shut down. I called the help line and they had no answer. Thanks

If you haven't already, update your Windows. Start/settings/Control panel has a shortcut on the left side. There is a patch available. Another way to help is to make sure that before you shut down, you close all applications and allow the HDD to stop working before trying to shut down.

it shouldn t be useless for us to know some info:
which OS are you running,
explain exactly what happens when u choose shutdown
when you re computer freeze ( or not if it doesn t freeze)
.
if u have a network card and/or a modem

i ll be waiting for these info

Did you install a NIC card prior to this problem?
