Hello Community,

HPE Proliant XL190r Gen9 UEFI Boot menu presents multiple Windows Boot Manager entries. It is running Windows Storage Server 2012 R2.

After patching reboot, it stuck at the following screen. I repaired UEFI boot partition successfully and it rebooting fine afterwards.

But there is one confusion. UEFI BIOS Menu shows multiple entries of Windows Boot Manager. It seems that after a reboot, it fell upon one of the wrong or stale Windows Boot Manager entry. It only boots through the highlighted entry and fails to boot if I select any one of the Windows Boot Manager entry.

Inside OS, there are no multiple entries as shown below;

Where those entries are coming from?

Is there a way to delete those multiple stale Windows Boot Manager entries from UEFI BIOS?

Hello,

Yes, you can delete any of the entries on the UEFI boot menu that you do not believe should be needed. The same area will also allow you to manually create an entry if you needed one.

RBSU (F9) -> Boot Options -> Advanced UEFI Boot Maintenance

Regards

You can use the UEFI Boot Order Control option to enable or disable individual UEFI boot options. Enabled items are selected (checked).
Procedure to perform the activity :- https://techlibrary.hpe.com/docs/iss/proliant-gen10-uefi/s_change_boot_order.html
