Hi! It's my first time here, and new to my current post...

Our main IT headquarters pushed my department to upgrade all servers to Server 2022. I understand that in the support matrix, Server 2022 is not supported. But hopefully I can get some lead on how to address this.

This particular hardware is acting weird - whatever load we put on it, CPU usage stays at 0% and we get reliability issues doing RDP sessions to it, it being a terminal server. I've tried most of the drivers online for 2019, but all of them said the hardware is not present.

Any assistance/direction would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Bryan

Hello,

The latest version of Microsoft Operating System (OS) is Microsoft Windows Server 2016, implying that the drivers are available until this version.

Regards,

Hello Bryan,
There are no drivers available for any of the hardware components installed on this DL380p Gen8 server for Windows Server 2022. Unfortunately, the last supported operating system for the server is Windows Server 2016. There's only one option that is to downgrade the Operating system to the supported version.

Hi Bryan,

Within iLO could you try changing the power mode to OS Control Mode?

https://techlibrary.hpe.com/docs/iss/proliant_uefi/UEFI_TM_030617/s_set_hp_power_regulator.html

This has resolved the CPU issue showing 0% for me with legacy servers,
