    <description>&lt;P&gt;There was a 4T disk error which bothered me for many days.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We team borrowed a same disk and replaced the error one,then the new disk light showed green.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But the MSA 2050 Still showed&amp;nbsp; RAID 5 not available,the new disk could't rebuild automatically.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We tried to add Global Spare by the "Pool theme", but to our surprise, "Add disk group" option couldn't be selected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the "System theme" panel we can find the disk which group was not assigned with 0 spare, other normal two disks had added group dgA01, and added into pool A.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To the MSA system, i'm a freshman,could your technical e&lt;SPAN&gt;xperts can give me some&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;assist?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.hpe.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2436750"&gt;@Ioiris&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please try these steps:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Check Disk and RAID Status&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;In MSA SMU web interface, check Disk Groups (dgA01) and Pools status.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Confirm RAID group shows as “Degraded” (not “Failed”).&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Assign or Replace Disk in Disk Group&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;In Disk Groups, try to manually add the new disk to dgA01.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Look for “Replace Member Disk” or “Add Physical Disk” options.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Set as Global Spare&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;In System &amp;gt; Disks, select the new disk and set it as a Global Spare.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The system should use the spare for automatic rebuild.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Review System Events/Logs&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Check for error messages or warnings in System &amp;gt; Events/Logs.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Resolve any disk compatibility or firmware errors.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Firmware Update&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Make sure the MSA 2050 firmware is up to date.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Physical Check&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Ensure the replacement disk matches the failed disk model and capacity.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Reseat the disk to confirm connection.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;</description>
