Stick with MR to avoid RAID reconfiguration.&lt;BR /&gt;In UEFI (F9 at POST), ensure UEFI Boot Mode, UEFI Optimized Boot Order, and disable Secure Boot.       <title>OS Boot Failure After Universal Restore – HP DL380 Gen10 Plus Server</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue Description&lt;/STRONG&gt;:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We performed a &lt;STRONG&gt;Universal Restore&lt;/STRONG&gt; of a system image (taken from a different machine) onto this HP server. The tool restored the OS and ignored old drivers (as expected), but after rebooting, we are getting a &lt;STRONG&gt;Blue Screen error (INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE)&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;: The same backup image was successfully restored and booted on a &lt;STRONG&gt;workstation&lt;/STRONG&gt;, without any boot issues.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Should we enable the Smart Array SR option or switch from MR Storage to a different controller in BIOS/UEFI?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are currently using &lt;STRONG&gt;MR Storage (MegaRAID)&lt;/STRONG&gt; in UEFI mode.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Do we need to inject specific drivers&lt;/STRONG&gt; (e.g., MegaRAID/SmarRAID) into the restored OS for it to recognize the storage at boot?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there an &lt;STRONG&gt;HP-recommended process&lt;/STRONG&gt; for restoring a system image (from another machine) when using &lt;STRONG&gt;MegaRAID controllers&lt;/STRONG&gt; and UEFI boot?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could you provide the &lt;STRONG&gt;correct driver package or firmware tools&lt;/STRONG&gt; we can use to ensure the OS can boot on this hardware?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;thank you&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;farrukh&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
